How to apply to Rockbridge Seminary

See what guidelines are required before you apply.

We have a simple 3 step seminary application process.

  1. Complete the short application form on the next page.
  2. Have the Church Endorsement form completed online.
  3. Have the necessary transcripts mailed to us.

Because of state regulations related to online education, Rockbridge Seminary is unable to accept applicants from the following: Alabama, District of Columbia, New Jersey, US Virgin Islands, or Wyoming.

When these steps are complete, Rockbridge Seminary will review your application materials and determine your eligibility for admission. You will receive notification of this decision by email, usually within two weeks after you complete all three application steps.

Applicants to the Doctor of Ministry program must be actively serving in a local church ministry role (either as a lay ministry volunteer or as a paid staff member). A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, a Master of Divinity degree (MDiv) or its educational equivalent from an accredited seminary, and at least three years of ministry experience post-MDiv (or at least a total of ten years of ministry experience), and a church endorsement are required for admission.

Applicants to either the Master of Ministry Leadership degree program or the Master of Divinity degree program must be actively serving in a local church ministry role (either as a lay ministry volunteer or as a paid staff member).  A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a church endorsement are required for admission.

Applicants to the Diploma in Ministry Studies program must be at least 25 years of age and must be actively serving in a local church ministry role (either as a lay ministry volunteer or as a paid staff member).  A high school diploma or its equivalent and a church endorsement are required for admission.

After applicants are approved an Enrollment Agreement must be signed and submitted by the new student before they are given access to register for their first course.
