MARCH 5, 2014 – HUNTSVILLE, AL – Refuge Church in Huntsville announced today that Lead Pastor Jason Parks has been invited to serve as guest chaplain in the United States House of Representatives on Wednesday, March 12, 2014. As a guest chaplain, Pastor Jason will offer the opening prayer for that day’s session of the House of Representatives.
The prayer will be offered in the House Chamber at the opening of the daily session and will precede regular House business. The invocation, scheduled for noon on Wednesday, can be viewed live on C-SPAN and at www.c-span.org.
Pastor Jason was born and raised in North Alabama. He is passionate about helping people experience life to its fullest. Jason is known for his relevant teaching style and his love for people. His educational background includes a BS in Communication Arts from the University of North Alabama, a MBA from Liberty University, and a MDiv from Rockbridge Seminary.
Jason currently serves on the ALS Association Patient Care Committee, Calhoun Community College EMS Advisory Board, and as a faculty member at Huntsville Bible College. Prior to full-time ministry, Jason worked in marketing communications for organizations including Analytical Services, Inc, Crestwood Medical Center, and Regional Spine & Wrist Centers.
