Academic Program: Master of Divinity

One word that describes me: Goofy
In my spare time: I play guitar, play Wii, an occasional game of golf, and love Texas Rangers Baseball
Favorite Bible verse: 1 Timothy 1:12-17 “I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service. Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
Spiritual hero: C.S. Lewis
Vision: I love to see teenagers come to know Christ and to follow His plan for their lives. I see so much in our churches today that is not as it should be – thankfully, a lot of our students see this, too. My vision is that I would be a part of raising up a new generation of church leaders who will help establish true community in our churches.
Why I applied to Rockbridge Seminary: When we moved to our current community, it was a 2 1/2 hour one-way commute to the seminary I was attending at the time. I did this one day a week for one term after we moved, and it absolutely wore me out. After doing some searching, I found Rockbridge and it has absolutely been an answer to prayer – I have been able to continue my education without being gone from my job and family for a whole day each week.
What I like most about Rockbridge Seminary: The completely online format is great – I can work on it at home or at the office, and there is no commute.
